Vanilla Pear Margarita
THESE ARE SO GOOD!! A very sweet take on margaritas. And I had legit forgot about pears until now. So I’m pretty happy they are back in my life thanks to this yummy cocktail recipe!
The cinnamon rim is perfection!
THE RECIPE
+ 2 oz silver tequila
+ 4 oz pear juice
+ 1 oz lemon juice
+ Tiny squeeze of vanilla extract
+ Little bit of honey
+ Dash of cinnamon
HOW TO
Rim your glasses with cinnamon. You can do this simply by putting lemon juice on the rim and dipping it in cinnamon on a plate.
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker + shake well + pour over ice.
Garnish with sliced pears & boom, yummy Monday night margs!
TIPS
If you can’t find pear juice at the store buy canned pears & use the juice. I’d say roughly each can had 6 oz of pear juice in it. Then you also have extra pears to eat!
The original recipe called for vanilla bean which was pricey at the store so I went with vanilla extract because I already had it in my pantry. YOU ONLY NEED THE SMALLEST AMOUNT OF EXTRACT, a tiny bit goes a long way.
We also tried it as a blended marg & it was not our fave. It had the consistency of applesauce which was a bit weird for a marg.
Don’t drop the tequila bottle in your parking garage like I did. No fun having to drive back to the store & re-purchase the tequila. WHOOPS.
These are pretty dang easy & delicious! Enjoy your vanilla + pear margaritas & happy holidays friends!!
