Tupelo Honey

Brunchy, brunch, brunch….oh how I miss brunch!!! Sober January is over next weekend which means bottomless bloody marys + mimosas at Tupelo Honey! Who’s coming!?

THE LOCATION

If you haven’t been to Tupelo Honey it is in the center of downtown Denver right by Union Station. Look for the floral green wall right out front.

It’s the perfect spot to take a Flywheel class next door & then enjoy some good Southern food!

THE DRINKS

They offer bottomless bloody marys + mimosas Saturdays & Sundays 9-4. And they are goooood! Especially the salted rim bloody. They also let you mix & match between the two which is nice.

If you’re not feeling the bottomless, they have a large selection of custom cocktails + beer + wine. Some cocktail faves include —

Cherry Bomb Frose + Madame Beauregarde, Blueberry-Basil Martini + Mountain Smoke

If you’re not going for brunch, Happy Hour is everyday from 3-6 PM.

THE FOOD

Chef’s Mason Jar Dip - Blue cheese & bacon

On to the best part, the food! My very favorite appetizer is the Chef’s Mason Jar Dips. Especially the blue cheese & bacon. The potato chips are freakin amazing. And it’s only $5 for a good amount of food!

The creamy tomato soup is also a fave, especially when it’s cold outside.

It’s difficult to pick a favorite entree, because I have tried a lot & loved A LOT. But my personal favorite goes to…

………The Spicy Avocado & Chopped Egg Sandwich. Sriracha honey & jalepenos. That’s all I’m gonna say about that. TRY IT!!!

The food tastes so fresh & healthy despite a lot of it being “Southern comfort food.”

If you’re into veggie burgers, like me, they have a damn good one - The Grateful ‘Veg’ Burger. The Farm Fresh burger is also delish! I order extra pickles, always. Really compliments the Bloody Mary, know what I mean?!?

Another FAVE is the Southern Fried Chicken BLT. Definitely add the sriracha honey!! The chicken is so crispy & they add solid slices of bacon. It’s definitely messy but worth it!

I’m not the biggest fan but my friends love the side of collard greens! I’m more of a crispy Brussels or French fries kind of gal.

Pictured below is the Carolina Steak & Eggs. Which almost looks too good to eat. But my friend Chase can attest, it’s GOOD! Notice the 3rd Bloody Mary in front of the plate…. LOL. This was a fun day.

A super popular entree on the menu is the Slow-Roasted Pork Grilled Cheese. More of a pork sandwich, less of a grilled cheese. Don’t get me wrong, it’s delicious! But if you are ordering it hoping for a nice melty grilled cheese, it' ain’t that!
